Shore-Klear is a non-selective herbicide used around ponds, lakes and streams for control of cattails, brush and weeds that grow out of the water. Shore-Klear is not effective on plants that grow under (or mostly under) the water. Shore-Klear is sprayed onto the foliage of the plant and kills the plant and its roots. Shore- Klear must be used with activator. Application rate is two ounces per gallon of water. Some plants, like cattails, may require a second application. Effectiveness may be reduced if rain occurs within six hours of treatment. Results will begin to show in two to four days in most plants but can take as long as two weeks. We cannot ship any of the pond chemicals including aquatic herbicides, aquatic sun blockers, algaecides, etc.  (except Pond Bio-Solutions™ and PlanktoniX™ which are all-natural product and not a chemical) to addresses in the above 6 states.   A more up-to-date list of states with certain restrictions will be available online, soon.  It is the customer's responsibility to know what chemicals are allowed in their state as this information is always changing.

Also, the use of ANY chemicals listed above is restricted to privately owned ponds & lakes that has 100% of their water contained on their property.  Water cannot be coming in to the pond nor exiting the pond into a nearby drain, stream, creek, etc.  is considered 100% contained on your property.  In this case, you must contact your local DNR (Department of Natural Resources)  find out what chemicals, if any, can be used. They have jurisdiction as to what chemicals can be used in these situations as the water flowing out of these ponds or lakes affect our public water systems and the DNR has jurisdiction on everything having to do with our public water systems.
